A compact tour of the northeastern mountains and Ba Be National Park is one of the most desirable programmes in Vietnam. Travelling along the Vietnam - China frontier which used to be off-limits to foreign tourists years ago, visitors will experience a pleasant contrast: the bustle of frontier fairs in the midst of the serenity of hill-tribe life. It will be time to relax as visitors take a sampan ride on Lake Ba Be, a national park endowed with tropical jungles, mystic caves, serene rivers and rugged mountains. A travel permit to the border area is included.
